Public rental homes make up 36,865 of the units, and 27,440 rural housing aid payments are included in the plan.
Mohamed Tarek Belaribi, minister of housing, urban planning, the city and urban development, announced on Saturday a plan to distribute 133,780 housing units across the country.
Awras reported that the distribution takes place on the occasion of the 72nd anniversary of the start of the War of Independence. The minister said the units are spread across the wilayas of the country.
The figures are split by type, according to the minister. The programme includes 36,865 public rental housing units and 36,382 plots of land in social subdivisions.
It also includes 27,440 aid packages for rural housing, 17,538 free promotional housing units and 11,566 supported promotional housing units. The list also includes 3,789 units of the Adl 3 programme sold by rent and 200 public promotional housing units.
The first 3,789 Adl 3 units are being handed out in 12 wilayas, the minister said.
The minister said Adl 3 moved from online registration in 2024 to the study of files in 2025. It reached the launch and handover of homes in 2026.
He said success is measured by building the projects on the ground, not by announcing them.
The minister also said 850,000 housing units were recorded in the finance laws for 2025, 2026 and 2027, to complete the Adl 3 programme.
For families waiting for housing, the plan covers public rental homes, land plots, rural housing aid and several promotional and sale-by-rent formulas.
