The portal now holds more than 27 million documents from 217 land offices, and it also gives access to cadastral extracts.

The General Directorate of National Domain (DGDN) launched a new version of the Fadaeldjazair land portal on 1 November, allowing people to request land documents online.

According to Algérie 360, the portal was put online for the 72nd anniversary of 1 November. It has existed since March 2024, and the new version uses one unified, central database.

The database holds more than 27 million documents from 217 land registry offices (conservations foncières). More than 14 million properties have already been digitised.

The portal covers the land certificate (livret foncier), the negative certificate, copies of published deeds and property sheets (fiches d'immeuble). A negative certificate confirms that no entry has been recorded for a property at the land registry.

It is often needed before a regularisation or a sale.

According to the source, copies of published deeds help people find the ownership title of a property.

The portal also gives access to cadastral documents. These include extracts from the cadastral matrix (CC11), a cadastral section (CC12) and the cadastral plan (CC15).

According to Algérie 360, the new version also adds a map of nearby facilities. The map shows schools, hospitals, mosques and airports around a property, with distances and driving times by car.

Users must create an account, a step that the source says checks the identity of the user. Fees can be paid online through the national secure payment gateway, SATIM, the source reports.

For some documents, the waiting time has fallen from one month to a few minutes, according to the source.

For people who need these documents, the change means a request can start online without a visit to a counter. An online request does not mean immediate issue, however, because each document follows its own procedure, particularly the land certificate.

The DGDN plans an electronic land certificate to replace the paper format over time. Not all land procedures are online yet, and some steps may still need a visit to the services of the Domaine or the land registry.
