About Bordj Bou Arreridj
The wilaya of Bordj Bou Arreridj lies in the north-east of Algeria, on the High Plateaux, halfway between Algiers and Constantine. It borders the wilayas of Béjaïa, Sétif, Bouira and M'Sila. Its capital is the town of Bordj Bou Arreridj, whose name goes back to an Ottoman fort, or bordj. It is wilaya number 34. It has 34 communes in 10 dairas. The wilaya had 628,475 inhabitants at the 2008 census (ONS).
