An order of the Ministry of Finance dated 16 September 2026 sets 31 March 2027 as the deadline for tobacco product distributors to meet the licensing and specifications rules.
The Ministry of Finance has amended an order of 24 June 2025 that sets out how approval is granted to businesses distributing tobacco products, and the specifications attached to it. The change concerns article 12 of that order and is published in the Journal officiel no. 75 of 25 October 2026.
Under the amended article, distributors of tobacco products must comply with the provisions of the order within a period that may not go beyond 31 March 2027. The order is signed in Algiers on 16 September 2026 by the Minister of Finance and comes into force on publication in the Journal officiel.
The same issue of the Journal officiel also contains an unrelated list of public hospitals in the Ministry of Health's category B, with no change to the entries shown.
