About Mila
The wilaya of Mila lies in north-east Algeria. It borders the wilayas of Jijel, Skikda, Constantine, Oum El Bouaghi, Batna and Sétif. Its capital, Mila, was the Roman city of Milev. It is wilaya number 43. It was created in 1984, under law 84-09, mainly from the wilayas of Constantine and Jijel. It has 32 communes in 13 dairas. The wilaya had 766,886 inhabitants at the 2008 census (ONS).
