About M'Sila

The wilaya of M'Sila lies in north-central Algeria, in the Hodna region. Its neighbours include the wilayas of Bouira, Bordj Bou Arreridj and Sétif. Its capital is the town of M'Sila, and the wilaya holds the ruins of the Kalâa of the Beni Hammad. It is wilaya number 28. In 2026 part of it became the wilaya of Bou Saâda. Before that it had 47 communes in 15 dairas, and 990,591 inhabitants at the 2008 census (ONS).
