The service, called "Takaoudi ALL IN ONE", helps retirees download the Takaoudi app and create a personal account.
The National Pensions Fund (CNR) launched a new digital service on Monday for retirees and their eligible dependants, in all of its local offices across Algeria.
The service, called "Takaoudi ALL IN ONE", works as a single digital counter. ObservAlgerie reported, citing a CNR statement on Facebook, that it follows instructions from the Minister of Labour, Employment and Social Security.
The aim is to make it easier for retirees and their dependants to use the fund's online services. It is also meant for people who struggle with digital tools, so they can reach the benefits available remotely.
How the new counters work
At the counter, retirees can download the Takaoudi app, create a personal account and activate it with help from CNR staff. Staff can also explain the app's features and the procedures that match each person's situation.
The counters have the same layout in every local office, and each one has a practical guide to the services available online. A QR code also lets users download the app directly.
The CNR aims to familiarise beneficiaries with these features, so that they can later complete some formalities on their own.
Fewer trips to the offices
The fund wants to reduce repeated trips by its beneficiaries to the offices, by letting them complete some procedures from a distance. It also aims to reduce the number of people at reception counters and improve how users are looked after.
Staff at the new service answer retirees' questions and record their concerns about digital services. The difficulties reported should help the fund identify beneficiaries' needs and improve its tools.
The statement describes the launch as part of the fund's digital transformation, which aims to make administrative procedures easier to reach for retirees and their dependants.
