The extension would run to 31 December 2027 and is one of six amendments to the 2027 finance bill.

Owners of unfinished buildings in Algeria could get one more year to regularise their property, until 31 December 2027, according to Algérie 360.

The extension is one of six amendments proposed for the 2027 finance bill. It would keep the regularisation scheme open for a further year, so that owners can finish their procedures.

The proposal responds to difficulties that still stop the operation from being completed. Several owners have not finished their files within the deadlines already granted.

Those behind the measure say an extra period is needed because of these delays. The aim is also to let more citizens use the legal scheme for bringing buildings into line with the rules.

The other proposals cover several other measures. One would make any rise in fuel prices subject to approval by Parliament, under article 218.

Another would help members of the diaspora who want to return to Algeria permanently. Under this proposal, they could import equipment and material linked to their work abroad without paying import duties and taxes.

The conditions include at least three years of residence abroad and at least two years of activity, which must be registered in Algeria. The equipment could not be sold for five years.

The source does not say how many files are still unfinished. The amendments are being examined as part of the 2027 finance bill.

The extension would take effect only after the measure is finally adopted and published in the official texts, the source says. Until then, people who have already started regularisation are invited to keep building their files and to contact the competent services for the documents required and the remaining steps.
