About Higher National School of Computer Science
A grande école, or elite higher school, of computer science in Oued Smar. It was founded in 1969 under the name CERI.
The École nationale supérieure d'informatique began in 1969 as the Centre d'études et de recherche en informatique. In 2008 it took its present name and became a grande école, a higher school that admits students by selection. For years it was the only school training computer scientists for Algeria.
