About Algerian Cultural Centre
The cultural centre of the Algerian state, on Rue de la Croix-Nivert in the 15th arrondissement, opened in 1983. It has an exhibition hall, an auditorium of 200 seats and a library of more than 30,000 books.
At 171 rue de la Croix-Nivert, the Centre culturel algérien has an exhibition hall and an auditorium of 200 seats. Its library holds more than 30,000 books, and its film library about 2,000 titles, mostly about Algeria. Besides language courses, the centre puts on concerts, exhibitions and plays.
From November 2007 to April 2014, the novelist Yasmina Khadra headed the centre.
