It is her second gold of the championships, after her uneven bars win on 24 October.

Kaylia Nemour, Algeria's 19-year-old Olympic champion, won the balance beam final at the world gymnastics championships in Rotterdam, the Netherlands, on 25 October.

TSA reported that Nemour scored 14.566 points, the same as China's Qinqying Zhang, whose execution mark was lower. Flavia Saraiva of Brazil finished third with 14.300 points.

The beam final took place a day after Nemour won the uneven bars final on 24 October. It was her second gold of the championships.

On the uneven bars, Helen Kevric of Germany took silver with 14.833 points, and Skye Blakely of the United States was third with 14.600 points, DNAlgerie reported.

Nemour had finished fourth in the all-around final on 23 October, without a medal, DNAlgerie reported. Her uneven bars score of 15.333 points gave her a clear win over the field.

TSA reported that Nemour also won the 2025 world title on the uneven bars at Jakarta, Indonesia, and took silver on the beam there. Zhang won that beam title in Jakarta and has now lost it to Nemour.

Algérie 360 described the beam as the most unforgiving apparatus in the women's programme. It is 10cm wide, and any hesitation or loss of balance can cost a gymnast points.

President Abdelmadjid Tebboune congratulated Nemour on her double gold, Algeria Press Service (APS) reported.

Algérie 360 said that two world titles at one championships, won by one athlete on two different apparatus, was unprecedented in Algeria's sporting history.

Nemour, who won Olympic gold in Paris in 2024, has the 2028 Olympic Games in Los Angeles in her sights, TSA reported.
