The third and last group of children from the Algerian community in Europe arrived for state-run summer camps. The programme offers holidays in Algeria to 2,000 young people from the diaspora.

The group of 578 children and young people from France and other European countries landed at Algiers airport. They were spread across holiday centres in Algiers, Boumerdès, Oran, Béjaïa and Jijel for an educational, cultural and leisure programme.

The Ministry of Youth runs the scheme with the Foreign Ministry's office for the national community abroad, and consulates helped prepare the trips.

Separately, the Grande Mosquée de Paris ran its fourth season of holiday camps in Algeria with the Ministry of Youth.
