Sales of hydrocarbons abroad brought in 37.5bn dollars between January and September 2026.

Sonatrach, Algeria's largest economic group, has published its annual report for 2025, which gives the volume of revenue it collected during the year, according to Algérie 360.

The report covers the group's main financial totals, the volumes it produced and sold, and its spending on upstream and downstream work.

Investment is one of the most closely watched figures in the report. The group spent 5.3bn dollars in 2025. Mohamed Arkab, Minister of State and Minister of Hydrocarbons, told deputies that investment had passed 6bn dollars in 2026.

Sonatrach has identified 17 deposits since the start of 2026, using its own resources. The company intends to keep this effort up over time.

Between January and September 2026, sales of hydrocarbons abroad brought in 37.5bn dollars. The average price of an Algerian barrel was about 97 dollars.

Oil tax revenue reached 2,841bn dinars (DZD), above the forecasts laid down in the finance law.

Over the 10 years from 2016 to 2025, oil brought nearly 233bn dollars to the Algerian Treasury, according to OPEC statistics.

Most of Algeria's foreign currency income depends on the group's activity, so its results matter to the national economy. Officials in the sector use 2025 as the reference point when they measure progress since then.
