Rahmania

Rahmania is a commune of Algiers that lies within the perimeter of the Sidi Abdellah new town. Under French rule the village was the colonial centre of Sainte-Amélie, created at the locality of Ben Omar within the commune of Douera. It belongs to the Zéralda circonscription administrative, one of the 13 groups of communes created by decree 26-112 of 8 March 2026. It had 7,396 inhabitants at the 2008 census (ONS).
