About Douera
Douera is a town on the southern Sahel hills, 25 km from the city of Algiers. The commune also includes the localities of Ouled Mendil, Hadj Yakoub and Ramdania. It belongs to the Draria circonscription administrative, one of the 13 groups of communes created by decree 26-112 of 8 March 2026. It had 56,998 inhabitants at the 2008 census (ONS).
