Algeria beat Jordan at the World Cup after trailing

Algeria beat Jordan 2 to 1 in their second World Cup group match after trailing at half-time. It was Algeria's first World Cup win since 2014, and the first time Algeria had won a World Cup match after conceding first.
The match was played at Levi's Stadium in Santa Clara, California. Nizar Al-Rashdan put Jordan ahead in the 36th minute.
After the break, substitute Nadhir Benbouali headed in a corner from Riyad Mahrez in the 69th minute, and Amine Gouiri scored the winner from another corner in the 82nd. Luca Zidane was Algeria's goalkeeper.
Before kick-off, Argentina had beaten Austria 2 to 0, so a defeat would have made Algeria's qualification very difficult. Before this match, Algeria had lost seven and drawn two of the World Cup games in which they conceded first.
