The extra time also covers the other documents pilgrims must provide, not only the payment.

Algerians selected for the 2027 Hadj, the pilgrimage to Mecca, have more time to pay their fees, but two sources give different end dates.

According to Algérie 360, President Abdelmadjid Tebboune decided to extend the payment and formalities deadline by one month. The decision was made public in a communiqué from the services of the Prime Minister, Algérie 360 reported.

What the two sources say

According to Algérie 360, the extended period runs from 3 November to 3 December.

According to Echorouk, the National Office of Pilgrimage and Omra (ONPO) announced in a communiqué an exceptional extension from 3 November to 5 November, with the deadline set at 18:00 on 5 November.

The two sources give different end dates, 3 December in Algérie 360 and 5 November in Echorouk.

Algérie 360 reported that the fee does not change. ONPO had set the bill at the end of September at 820,000 dinars (DZD), or 82 million centimes.

The ONPO payment guide first set the payment window from 1 to 29 October, which Algérie 360 reported many people found too short.

Why the deadline was extended

According to Algérie 360, some selected pilgrims had not gathered all their documents on time.

Algérie 360 reported that the authorities invite all future pilgrims to use the extra time to complete their files without waiting for the last days. It also reported that no selected pilgrim should be removed for a simple delay in the file.

What pilgrims must do

ONPO had warned that payment alone is not enough. Other documents must move forward at the same time, or the file may be blocked at final approval.

According to Algérie 360, pilgrims need an active account on the government platform and a bank or postal payment card. The ministry has asked pilgrims to complete all formalities before 3 December.

Algérie 360 reported that the authorities say the deadline is final. Once these steps are complete, payment can be made at approved counters.
