The first quota of 3,789 homes under the AADL3 programme is spread over 12 wilayas.

Mohamed Tarek Belaribi, minister of housing, urban planning, city and spatial planning, announced in Algiers that 133,780 homes and aid will be distributed across Algeria's wilayas.

The distribution starts on 1 November, the 72nd anniversary of the start of the National Liberation Revolution. Algérie Eco reported, citing the Algerian Press Service (APS), that the announcement was made at the ministry headquarters during a national meeting. The meeting brought together sector officials, wilaya directors and heads of bodies under the ministry.

The first homes come from the AADL3 programme. This first quota covers 3,789 homes spread over 12 wilayas.

Keys for these homes are due to be handed over from 10:00 that day. Belaribi said the first quota was allocated in record time, after subscriptions opened on a digital platform in July 2024.

The other homes fall into six categories. They include 36,865 public rental homes and 36,382 self-build homes in social subdivisions. There are also 27,440 aids for rural construction and 17,538 free promotional homes. The list ends with 11,566 subsidised promotional homes and 200 public promotional homes.

The source does not say who qualifies for each category, or how the homes will be allocated to applicants.

Distribution will continue over the coming stages, the minister said.
