The wilaya of El Meniaa lies in the Algerian Sahara. Its capital, El Meniaa, was formerly known as El Goléa. It is wilaya number 58. It became a full wilaya in 2019, under law 19-12 of 11 December 2019, taken from the wilaya of Ghardaïa, of which it had been a delegated wilaya since 2015. It has 3 communes, El Meniaa, Hassi Gara and Hassi Fehal, in 1 daira.
