Creating, renewing or replacing an Edahabia card costs 350 dinars (DZD), and a withdrawal at an Algérie Poste machine costs 30 DZD.

Algérie 360 reported on Monday the fees Algérie Poste charges across Algeria for Edahabia cards and the BaridiMob app in 2026, for each operation.

The fees apply to every Edahabia card holder. Each operation also has a minimum amount and a daily limit, which apply to all Edahabia cards. Holders can check their own limits in the BaridiMob app, under 'Card' then 'Limit'.

Card costs

Creating, renewing or replacing an Edahabia card costs 350 DZD. Reissuing a forgotten PIN costs 200 DZD, and blocking or cancelling the card costs 30 DZD.

An expired card is renewed automatically. The Edahabia card is valid for two years from its creation. The new classic card, issued since 20 July 2025, is valid for four years, and its 350 DZD fee is charged every two years.

Cash withdrawals

A withdrawal at an Algérie Poste machine costs 30 DZD, whatever the amount. At a bank machine the fee is 35 DZD, because the Edahabia card now works on the interbank network.

At the counter, the fee is calculated in steps. Algérie Poste charges 18 DZD, plus 2 DZD for each 1,000 DZD up to 18,000 DZD. Above that, each 1,000 DZD costs 3 DZD, and 6 DZD above one million dinars.

The two fees are equal at 6,000 DZD, when both cost 30 DZD. Below that amount the counter is cheaper, and above it the machine is clearly cheaper. Algérie 360 gives the example of a 50,000 DZD withdrawal, which costs five times less at the machine.

Transfers and card payments

BaridiMob charges a joining fee of 50 DZD, then a monthly subscription of 50 DZD. Each transfer from account to account also has a fee, which depends on the amount.

Sending 200,000 DZD in one transfer costs 24 DZD. Sending the same sum in five transfers of 40,000 DZD costs 120 DZD, so Algérie 360 says it is better to group transfers where possible.

To make a transfer at a machine, the sender enters the recipient's RIP, which is printed on the blue cheque. The recipient can withdraw the money on the same day.

Card payments cost the card holder nothing. The shop or online supplier pays the commission, which can reach 1.5% of the transaction on a terminal.

After an online payment, the customer gets a receipt on the website and an SMS confirming the debit. On a terminal, the customer receives a ticket and an SMS.

The card can also pay the bills of bodies that have an agreement with Algérie Poste. Algérie 360 says paying by card rather than withdrawing cash saves withdrawal fees. The habit is also spreading to large payments, such as instalments for AADL 3 housing.
