About Bologhine
Bologhine is a commune of the wilaya of Algiers, home to the basilica of Notre-Dame d'Afrique. In colonial times the commune was called Saint-Eugène. Its official form today is Bologhine Ibnou Ziri. It belongs to the Bab El Oued circonscription administrative, one of the 13 groups of communes created by decree 26-112 of 8 March 2026. It had 43,835 inhabitants at the 2008 census (ONS).
