Ouled Chebel

Ouled Chebel is a village on the Mitidja plain, at about 42 m above sea level, 5 km south of Birtouta. It belongs to the Birtouta circonscription administrative, one of the 13 groups of communes created by decree 26-112 of 8 March 2026. It is also one of the three communes of the daira, or district, of Birtouta. It had 20,006 inhabitants at the 2008 census (ONS).
