About Algiers Central Post Office
The main post office of Algiers, on Rue Larbi Ben M'hidi in Alger-Centre, a landmark of neo-Moorish architecture with domes and a finely decorated front. Visitors enjoy the building lit at night and the cafés, shops and gardens around it.
The Grande Poste on rue Larbi Ben M'hidi was built from 1907 to 1910. The main post office of Algiers has a facade of three arches and an upper gallery of arcades in an oriental style. In July 2014 the government announced that it would be restored and turned into a museum of the post and telecommunications.
