About Town hall of Oran

The town hall of the Oran commune, on Place du 1er Novembre in the centre of Oran. The first stone was laid on 14 July 1882 and the building was completed in 1888; its two bronze lions are by the sculptor Auguste Caïn. Closed from 2013, it reopened to the public on 18 January 2026 after its restoration.
