Members can book from 20 October, for trips between 1 November and 15 December.
Air Algérie is cutting the miles needed for premium tickets on direct flights to or from Algiers to some African destinations under a new offer called Promo Africa.
ObservAlgerie reported that the cut is up to 50% and depends on the class of travel. In economy class, the airline announces a 40% fall in the miles needed. In business class, the reduction reaches 50%.
The reduction applies to miles, not to cash prices. Premium tickets are tickets that members get by exchanging their miles.
Only direct flights to or from Algiers are eligible, and only while seats are available. Members must check that the route, date and class they choose qualify before they transfer miles.
To find the exact number of miles, members should check the price list shown in their Air Algérie Plus account for their route. The gain depends on the destination and the seats available.
Members who want to use miles for a trip between 1 November and 15 December can book from the reduced rate, subject to route, date, class and seat availability. Bookings have been open since 20 October.
Tickets issued under Promo Africa cannot be changed or refunded, and seat availability can vary from one flight to another.
