Volotea to fly Murcia to Algiers from 28 November

Volotea, a Spanish airline, plans a direct route from Murcia to Algiers, with the first flight on 28 November 2026 from Murcia International Airport.

DNAlgerie reported that the flights will run twice a week, on Tuesdays and Saturdays. The route gives travellers a direct link to the Algerian capital from south-east Spain, without a connection at another airport.

Before this route, travellers from the Murcia region had to use other airports or flights with a connection to reach Algiers. The new service adds to the air links available to people with family, work or tourist ties between the two countries.

The lowest fares start at 19 euros per trip. The Spanish daily La Opinión de Murcia reported booking simulations on 28 October. They showed a return trip between 22 and 26 December from 38 euros, or 19 euros each way. The one-way fare for the first flight on 28 November was 29 euros.

The report says these prices depend on availability and may change with the travel period and how full the planes are. The fares cover the flight itself. Extra services, such as bags or seat choice, may add charges, depending on the booking conditions.

Volotea first announced the project in July 2026, as part of its route network from Murcia airport. The airline presented Algiers as a new international destination for tourist trips and family travel between Spain and Algeria.
